LOTW | Wet N Wild Mega Last Matte Lip – In The Flesh

Wet N Wild Mega Last Matte Lip - In The Flesh review and swatch
Hello everyone! This is technically lipstick of two weeks, because I didn’t want to post twice in a day last Sunday, so I decided to just stick with the same lipstick for another week. The fact that I am absolutely in LOVE with these lipsticks (and this particular shade) made everything a lot easier though.

Price: $2.75 – £1.90 SUCH A BARGAIN!

Colour: In The Flesh is a gorgeous dusty rose shade of pink. I’m not really a pink lips kind of girl, which is why I was so surprised when I became board line obsessed with this particular one! It is really flattering on medium skin tones and there must be a little bit of a blue tone because I felt like it made my teeth look whiter too. This is one shade of pink I’ll be stocking up on later on in the year, because its beautiful!

Formula and Lasting time: This lipstick is super creamy but it does stay put too. Although it’s labelled as matte, I wouldn’t really describe it as that, though it’s not a satin or sheen by any stretch. Probably in-between a satin and a matte because I find it doesn’t dry out my lips at all, it applies smoothly too although if you have dry lips, it does kind of show.  The lipstick lasts for around 3 hours when worn alone. It also fades to a slight stain which is great ^_^

Favourite way to wear it: For the first week I lined my lips with  a neutral lip liner (either Rimmel’s Tiramisu or MUFE Aqua Lip in 2C) and then applied this to get the most of the colour. I also love wearing it with Rimmel’s spice (reviewed here) too though, by lining and filling in the lips and then applying this lipstick over the top. It slightly deepened the colour, but as you can see its such a close shade to spice they’re a match made in the heavens!
Overall: This has been one of my all time favourite LOTW’s so far, the shade that made me rethink the pink lipstick is pretty special! It doesn’t last all day long, but it lasts a decent amount of time on my lips and its not too out there for work either which makes a nice change! Plus it looks so good alone, which makes it a great pick-me-up shade without much effort yaay. Although the cap getting messy is super annoying and to be really picky, I’m not a fan of the name of this shade, I can definitely excuse that for the bargain price. I do wish this range were more easily available in the UK though (however its so easy to buy from beautyjoint.com that I really can’t complain).
